How Immediate Access Auto Locksmiths handles personal information when you use this website or send us an enquiry.

This policy explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to www.immediateaccess.co.uk and to enquiries sent to us through it. Please read it before sending us your details.

Who we are

Immediate Access Auto Locksmiths is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We are a mobile auto locksmith service based in Southampton, Hampshire, working at customers' vehicles across Southampton and Hampshire.

The quickest way to reach us is by email at info@immediateaccess.co.uk or by phone on 07944 199 003. We work from a vehicle rather than a shopfront, so we don't list a postal address on this website — please contact us by email or phone.

What we collect from you

We collect the information you choose to give us. Our quote form asks for your name, telephone number, vehicle details, the location of the vehicle and a message. If you phone us, we'll note down what you tell us about your vehicle, where it is and what you need.

The form doesn't ask for an email address. If you'd rather be replied to by email, include your address in your message and we'll use it to answer you.

The form also carries two quiet anti-spam checks — a hidden field that should be left empty, and a note of the moment the form was opened. These exist only to tell a genuine enquiry apart from an automated submission.

We don't ask for, and don't want, anything sensitive such as payment card details.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

  • reply to your enquiry and confirm whether we can help;
  • give you a quote based on the information you supply;
  • arrange a time and place, and travel to the vehicle;
  • carry out the work you've asked for and follow up afterwards if needed.

The legal basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about the services we offer. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't add you to marketing lists.

Cookies and automatic collection

The pages on this website don't set analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run visitor analytics or advertising pixels. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing non-essential for you to consent to. If we ever do introduce such technology, this page will be updated before it takes effect.

One thing happens automatically: this website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver them, Google's servers receive the request, which includes your IP address. We don't receive or store that information ourselves, and we don't use it to identify you.

When you send the quote form, the information you typed is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server.

Who we share information with

Enquiries sent through the website are delivered to our own inbox using the email service provided by the platform that hosts this website. That provider handles your enquiry only to deliver it to us.

We don't sell, rent or trade your information, we don't pass it to advertising networks, and we don't share it with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information where we're legally required to, for example by the police or a court — and if a vehicle's ownership or details need to be checked before we work on it, we'll tell you what we need to check.

How long we keep information

We don't run a separate customer database. Enquiries arrive as emails in our inbox and remain there as long as the mailbox keeps them. We keep an enquiry only as long as needed to deal with it, to carry out any work you've asked for and to follow up afterwards.

If you'd like an enquiry removed, email us and we'll delete it from the mailbox.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • confirm what information we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
  • correct anything you believe is wrong;
  • delete information we no longer need to hold;
  • stop using your information in a particular way, or object to us using it;
  • move your information to another provider.

These requests are free. Email info@immediateaccess.co.uk with enough detail for us to find your enquiry, and we'll come back to you.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is aimed at drivers and vehicle keepers, not children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page — the "last updated" date above shows which version you're reading. We'd suggest checking it if you send us an enquiry some time after your first contact with us.

Contact us

Questions about this policy, or about information you've sent us, should go to info@immediateaccess.co.uk or 07944 199 003. You can also use the quote form, though for a privacy request email is best.
